Lead iOS Engineer (BFF)

TL;DR

Lead iOS Engineer (Swift/iOS): Building and delivering end-to-end features for the hirify.global BFF experience with an accent on technical architecture and mentoring. Focus on designing scalable iOS architectures and integrating AI-assisted development workflows to improve code quality.

Location: Must be based in Austin, TX or New York, NY (within commutable distance for hybrid work Monday-Wednesday)

Salary: $225,000 - $255,000 a year

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain high-quality consumer-facing iOS features.
• Partner with Product Managers and Designers to translate product vision into technical implementations.
• Own iOS features end-to-end, from technical design and testing to App Store release.
• Evolve iOS architecture and engineering standards for long-term maintainability.
• Integrate AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and developer experience.
• Mentor junior iOS engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience shipping production iOS applications.
• Strong proficiency in Swift and UIKit, with working knowledge of SwiftUI.
• Proven experience with scalable architectures (e.g., MVVM, TCA, VIPER).
• Deep understanding of iOS concurrency (async/await, GCD) and memory management.
• Unable to offer Visa sponsorship.
• Must be located within commutable distance to Austin or NYC offices.
