What you will do

• Design and build iOS app features across creation, discovery, playback, and social experiences.
• Create foundational abstractions and libraries for performant, highly interactive audio and animation.
• Collaborate with product and design to shape the app's feel, flow, and direction.
• Optimize for performance and responsiveness, from frame rates to network efficiency.
• Set the technical direction for the iOS platform and define architectural patterns.
• Mentor engineers and raise the bar for code quality and engineering culture.

Requirements

• 5+ years (Senior) or 7+ years (Staff) of experience shipping production iOS apps.
• Advanced expertise in Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.
• Deep experience building fluid, polished animations and translating prototypes into production code.
• Strong performance profiling and benchmarking skills.
• Obsession with great user experience and attention to detail.
• Must be eligible to work in the US.

Nice to have

• Experience with audio playback systems, streaming pipelines, or real-time audio.
• Experience with social product features like feeds, follow graphs, and notifications.
• Background designing mobile-first APIs in collaboration with backend teams.
• Track record of building 0→1 consumer products at a fast-moving startup.
