Senior Information Security Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Senior Information Security Engineer (Cybersecurity): Designing and implementing enterprise security controls and infrastructure to protect an investment platform with an accent on automation, scalability, and risk reduction. Focus on deploying SIEM, PAM, and IGA solutions, hardening server configurations, and aligning infrastructure with ISO27001/NIST frameworks.

Location: Hybrid (Manchester or London, UK). Minimum 50% office attendance required per month.

What you will do

• Lead the design, delivery, and improvement of enterprise security solutions across endpoint, cloud, network, and DevOps environments.
• Implement secure infrastructure controls aligned with industry best practices to ensure scalability and resilience.
• Evaluate and integrate new security tools and platforms to drive automation and measurable value.
• Oversee patch management and server hardening initiatives in collaboration with Infrastructure and Service Delivery teams.
• Provide security oversight for projects and support audits, regulatory reviews, and due diligence activities.
• Act as the primary technical link between the CISO function and Infrastructure teams.

Requirements

• Proven experience implementing enterprise security platforms (SIEM, PAM, IGA, endpoint protection).
• Strong knowledge of security risk management tools and core IT networking principles.
• Experience working within frameworks such as ISO27001 or NIST.
• Significant professional experience in IT security.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Manchester or London.

Nice to have

• Experience within financial services or e-commerce industries.
• Knowledge of cloud security standards and firewall technologies.
• CISSP certification (achieved or in progress).
