What you will do

• Design and build the SOC operating model, detection strategy, and runbooks from scratch.
• Lead complex investigations and act as the senior technical authority during security incidents.
• Recommend and implement SIEM, detection engineering, and automation tooling.
• Coordinate containment, eradication, and recovery activities across infrastructure and applications.
• Mentor and develop SOC analysts while representing the function to senior stakeholders.
• Contribute to threat modeling and continuous improvement of security processes.

Requirements

• Must be SC-cleared or genuinely cleared-eligible.
• Substantial SOC experience at T3 or senior analyst level.
• Deep expertise in SIEM and detection engineering.
• Hands-on experience with AWS security.
• Experience leading incident response in regulated or secure environments.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• At least one senior certification (CISSP, CISM, GCIA, GCIH, or AWS Certified Security Specialty).

Nice to have

• Existing SC clearance.
• Prior experience in government, defense, or regulated-sector consultancy.
• IaC and automation skills (Terraform, Python).
• NCSC Certified Cyber Professional (CCP) credentials.
• Master's degree in cybersecurity.
