What you will do

• Design, build, scale, and operate systems used by Arista’s internal development teams.
• Develop new features, implement feature tests, and refactor code for scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with software engineers to identify and resolve bottlenecks in workflows, tooling, and infrastructure.
• Provide ongoing support for internal tools and infrastructure to the development team.
• Review and contribute to technical specifications and implementations written by team members.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science with 3+ years of experience, MS with 2+ years, or a PhD.
• Proficiency in one or more of Go, Python, Javascript, C++, or Java.
• Strong knowledge of Linux or UNIX environments.
• Fundamental understanding of operating systems, networking systems, or distributed systems.
• Applied understanding of software engineering principles and strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to design solutions and implement features independently within small teams.
