What you will do

• Improve the steady-state and transient performance of internal combustion engines using simulation and testing.
• Support gas engine development projects focusing on performance improvements, cost reduction, and operating strategies.
• Conduct 1D simulation activities with an emphasis on combustion and gas exchange.
• Perform in-house testing on single- and multi-cylinder engines, focusing on mixture preparation, ignition, and combustion.
• Support the development of spark plugs.
• Analyze field data and investigation results to provide interpretations, conclusions, and reporting.

Requirements

• Current student of Mechanical Engineering or a similar field.
• Basic knowledge of internal combustion engines and high motivation to learn.
• Ability to work independently within a global matrix organization.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Must be available for a full-time position for at least 6 months starting from October 2026.
• Must be able to work onsite in Jenbach, Austria.
