DevOps Engineer (FDE)

TL;DR

DevOps Engineer (FDE) (Fintech): Developing and evolving infrastructure for a next-generation observability platform with an accent on Kubernetes, cloud technologies, and client-side deployment. Salary: $140,000 - $170,000 per annum

What you will do

• Develop and evolve infrastructure supporting the Geneos, Opsview, and hirify.global Analytics product suites.
• Define, document, and promote best practices for the deployment and management of the system.
• Collaborate directly with clients on-site to guide internal processes and ensure successful stack deployment.
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to define features that enhance stack manageability and supportability.

Requirements

• 7+ years of DevOps experience.
• Expert knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and packaging tools such as Helm, ArgoCD, or Flux.
• Solid experience with Linux system administration and shell scripting.
• Proficiency with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and version control systems (Git).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMWare, ESXI) and CI tools like Jenkins.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Chicago office on a hybrid schedule.

Nice to have

• Experience with GitOps and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Proficiency with configuration tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Experience managing Kubernetes in production environments.
• Knowledge of DNS, LDAP, Active Directory, Firewalls, and VPN Configuration.
