What you will do

• Manage end-to-end derivative accounting for interest rate swaps, cross-currency swaps, FX forwards, options, and commodity derivatives.
• Prepare hedge documentation, designation memos, and formal effectiveness testing under ASC 815 and IFRS 9.
• Execute quantitative and qualitative effectiveness assessments using regression analysis and the hypothetical derivative method.
• Prepare journal entries and financial statement disclosures related to hedging activities.
• Advise clients on structuring new hedging relationships to optimize effectiveness and achieve qualification.
• Lead audit support and mentor junior team members to strengthen internal technical guidance.

Requirements

• CPA certification is required.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with derivative instruments and hedge accounting.
• Deep technical fluency in ASC 815 and IFRS 9.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid capacity, attending the office 10+ days per month.
• Ability to communicate complex accounting conclusions to non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience with hedge accounting platforms such as hirify.global Treasury, Chatham Financial, Reval, or FIS Quantum.
