TL;DR

Engineer In Residence (Generative AI): Building and iterating on full-stack applications using cutting-edge GenAI tools with an accent on rapid prototyping and technical vision. Focus on integrating agentic frameworks, vector databases, and prompt engineering to bring experimental AI ideas to life.

Location: Must be based in or within commuting distance from Mountain View, CA

Salary: $10,000 per month

hirify.global is a venture studio founded by Dr. Andrew Ng that builds AI companies to solve real-world problems across numerous industry sectors.

What you will do

  • Build full-stack applications using GenAI tools to explore product ideas and technical feasibility rapidly.
  • Implement GenAI building blocks including prompt engineering, graphDBs, vectorDBs, agentic frameworks, evals, and guardrails.
  • Make key architectural and infrastructure decisions, balancing rapid prototyping with long-term scalability.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and AI experts to iterate on new concepts.
  • Utilize AI-assisted coding tools like Cursor, Windsurf, and GitHub Copilot to accelerate iteration speed.
  • Deploy and manage applications on cloud infrastructure including AWS, GCP, or Supabase.

Requirements

  • Proven experience building applications that incorporate Generative AI.
  • Proficiency with RAG, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate), and agentic platforms (LangGraph, CrewAI).
  • Strong full-stack technical skills, specifically Python for backend and JavaScript/HTML/CSS for frontend.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
  • Expertise in designing end-to-end system architectures involving AI/ML components.
  • Must be based in or within commuting distance from Mountain View, CA.

Nice to have

  • Experience shipping MVPs and utilizing rapid prototyping methodologies.
  • Contributions to open-source GenAI projects or tools.
  • Knowledge of advanced architecture patterns like microservices or event-driven design.
  • Prior experience as a technical lead or architect for AI-driven products.
