What you will do

• Own the technical architecture and overall design of Java-based backend services and platforms.
• Drive and validate architectural decisions regarding microservices and event-driven patterns.
• Lead the implementation of complex backend components and integrations.
• Review code and design proposals to ensure high standards of quality, testability, and maintainability.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and support their technical growth.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, QA, and DevOps to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience, primarily in Java.
• At least 2 years in a senior engineering or technical leadership role.
• Strong expertise in Java 11+ (ideally 17), Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
• Proven experience designing and evolving distributed backend systems and RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of asynchronous messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL).
• English: Very good communication skills required.

Nice to have

• Experience with event-driven or reactive architectures (WebFlux, RxJava).
• Knowledge of security standards such as OAuth2, OIDC, and JWT.
• Experience modernizing monolithic systems or leading cloud migration initiatives.
• Background in building or operating high-availability and high-throughput systems.
