Data/Configuration Management Specialist (VoIP Engineer Level II): Provide VoIP engineering to design, install, operate, upgrade, and troubleshoot secure and non-secure VoIP/telephony systems with an accent on network segmentation, SIP/SBC trunking, and TDM-to-IP migration. Focus on implementing DoD/AF-aligned VoIP designs using AFBAN/MUDG/STIG and ensuring interoperability with E911, PRI, PBX, voice recorders, and UPS power requirements.

What you will do

• Design robust VoIP networks to meet Command and Control (C2) specifications and guide lifecycle/end-of-support recommendations.
• Engineer, design, evaluate, install, upgrade, troubleshoot, and configure VoIP systems on AMC bases.
• Convert copper twisted-pair transport to IP using gateways and recommend base cable infrastructure changes for VoIP services.
• Implement network segmentation for VoIP using VLAN and VRF, and apply NetLaw and AFBANFS during design.
• Integrate and support VoIP-interfacing systems including E911, T-Metrics, PRI, VPS, voice recorders, voice mail, CAIRS, fax servers, PBX, paging, trunks (ISDN/TIE/FX/SIP/WATS), and SBCs.
• Support legacy migrations (TDM to IP, POTS reduction/elimination, fax reduction/elimination) and analyze telecommunications power/UPS sizing.

Requirements

• Clearance: Active Secret or above
• Experience with CISCO and Avaya VoIP systems; Avaya or CISCO certifications desired.
• Knowledge of voice carrier-grade telephony systems and implementing Unified Communications with supporting infrastructure.
• Skilled in secure/non-secure VoIP system design and converged network implementation from design through deployment.
• Experience delivering UPS solutions (battery/inverter/rectifier plants) for telephony and managing inside plant infrastructure (frame rooms, DRSN classified voice systems, ISP, building wiring, BICSI standards).
• Knowledge of SBC and SIP trunks; familiarity with IP technologies including IPv6.
