What you will do

  • Lead the development of policies and structures for research design, data collection, and dissemination.
  • Collaborate with research consortia and institutional partners to ensure ethical and accountable data sharing.
  • Design and apply data governance approaches, including data access controls and privacy compliance methods.
  • Monitor adherence to ethical and legal requirements, contributing to incident investigations and CAPA plans.
  • Integrate emerging technologies, including AI, into governance documentation and process improvement.
  • Develop and implement standards for data sharing education and governance training.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, public health, public administration, or social sciences.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in a research setting involving human biomedical data.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IRB regulations, HIPAA compliance, and data use agreements.
  • Experience improving SOPs and managing documentation in tools like Jira or Confluence.
  • Ability to travel to Seattle, WA at least twice per year.
