Sr. Cloud Security Architect (Cybersecurity)

TL;DR

Senior Cloud Security Architect (Cybersecurity): Designing and implementing cloud security strategies and policies for mission-critical federal law enforcement projects with an accent on FedRAMP compliance and Zero Trust architecture. Focus on identifying attack vectors, establishing secure cloud adoption standards, and developing architectural roadmaps for complex security environments.

Location: On-site in Washington, DC. Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) clearance is required.

What you will do

• Develop and implement cloud security strategies, policies, and best practices.
• Identify security risks and specify tools to respond to threats and breaches.
• Create solutions for identity and access management, encryption, and continuous monitoring.
• Perform Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) and present recommendations to government leadership.
• Design diverse security controls and facilitate engineering implementation.
• Provide guidance on Zero Trust, control automation, and log management.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in designing and deploying complex cybersecurity solutions in enterprise environments.
• 8+ years of experience in networking and endpoint security architecture.
• Technical proficiency in FedRAMP and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, OCI).
• Knowledge of NIST publications (e.g., SP 800-53r5) and zero-trust architecture.
• CISSP certification required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) clearance.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Splunk and FISMA/FedRAMP responsibilities.
• Experience preparing Authority to Operate (ATO) packages for client approval.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Additional certifications: CISSP-ISSAP, Azure/AWS Solutions Architect, or SANS.
