What you will do

• Build Kiro, an AI coding agent that automates end-to-end development tasks and retains context across complex workflows.
• Orchestrate AI workflows across multiple models and design intelligent routing systems.
• Develop context layers to enable the agent to genuinely understand project structures.
• Scale AI infrastructure to ensure reliability and security according to AWS standards.
• Lead technical direction for new capabilities and own critical system components.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture for scalable and reliable systems.
• Proven experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.
• Must be based in or authorized to work in Santa Clara, CA, USA.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, and build processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
