Senior Data Engineer (AWS/Snowflake)

What you will do

• Own the complete solution lifecycle from requirements to production for scalable data products.
• Build and optimize complex ETL and reverse ETL pipelines using Python and Airflow.
• Architect and evolve the "firelake" data lake on AWS and Snowflake.
• Implement AI-driven efficiencies in engineering workflows and integrate LLMs into data solutions.
• Establish robust data governance, PII masking, and row/column-level security practices.
• Lead cross-departmental projects and provide technical mentorship to junior engineers.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• 5+ years of experience in data or software engineering and building scalable data products.
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL, Python, and Snowflake.
• 5+ years of experience with AWS cloud environments, Terraform, and Docker.
• Deep operational experience with Airflow and dbt (3+ years).
• Strong ability to translate complex technical architectures for non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of MLOps strategy and best practices.
• Experience interfacing with LLMs or creating AI agents.
