What you will do

• Conduct nutritional assessments for enteral and parenteral patients at admission and as needed.
• Collaborate with clinical pharmacists to recommend adjustments to nutrition formulas based on clinical data.
• Establish and maintain patient care plans in accordance with physician orders.
• Provide nutritional education to patients and their caregivers.
• Ensure compliance with insurance coverage guidelines and maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Must be currently licensed to practice in the state of Iowa.
• Registered by the American Dietetic Association.
• Bachelor’s degree in dietetics, foods, and nutrition or a related field.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home infusion pharmacy.
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
