Associate Software Engineer (Embedded Systems)

Location: Onsite at the Goleta, CA (Santa Barbara) facility; travel may be required up to 10–15%.

Salary: $80,000–$114,500 annually.

What you will do

• Design, code, debug, and integrate software for embedded real-time control systems.
• Work with RTOS and embedded Linux.
• Develop device drivers and communication protocols including UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, and MIL-STD-1553.
• Integrate systems in laboratory and field environments.
• Collaborate with hardware and systems teams on mission-critical defense platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Software, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Work or academic experience designing, developing, or testing embedded real-time control software.
• Work or academic hands-on experience with integrated hardware/software systems.
• Work or academic experience with control systems and signal processing for the Systems Track.
• Work or academic experience with embedded Linux, cybersecurity tools, or RTOS.
• Current Security Clearance or the ability to obtain Security Clearance is required.
• The position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
