TL;DR

Embedded Software Development Engineer (C++/Robotics): Developing embedded software for the next-generation hirify.global controller and wireless pendants with an accent on RTOS and Linux driver development. Location: On-site in Tokyo, Japan. Relocation support available including visa sponsorship.

What you will do

  • Develop and support embedded software for RTOS and Linux kernels/drivers.
  • Create software tools to facilitate system implementation and upgrades.
  • Investigate and integrate industrial protocols for IoT devices such as industrial robots, sensors, and cameras.
  • Collaborate on requirements, design, and SW/HW integration across the entire product lifecycle.
  • Follow product development procedures to ensure high-quality delivery and system reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on development experience in C/C++.
  • 5+ years of experience in microcontroller (MCU) architecture.
  • Proven experience in developing RTOS or Linux drivers.
  • Familiarity with Cortex-M microcontrollers.
  • Business-level English proficiency.

Nice to have

  • Experience designing industrial PCs.
  • Expertise in Linux kernel module development.
  • Understanding of functional safety concepts (e.g., IEC 61508).
  • Experience with software verification tools.
