What you will do

• Build and maintain Python automation frameworks for SerDes and PIC validation using PyVISA and SCPI.
• Develop reusable libraries for lab instruments including scopes, BERTs, VNAs, and tunable lasers.
• Perform bench-level validation of SerDes Tx/Rx performance, including eye quality, jitter, and equalization.
• Characterize PIC devices for parameters such as OMA, extinction ratio, and photodetector responsivity.
• Integrate electro-optical test setups and assist with fiber handling and alignment.
• Correlate component-level PIC data with full link performance and execute test plans across PVT corners.

Requirements

• Must be able to work on-site in Santa Clara, CA
• M.S. in EE, Optical Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of industry experience.
• Proficiency in Python for test automation and instrument control.
• Experience with Git and collaborative version control workflows.
• Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation like scopes, BERTs, or VNAs.
• Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under U.S. law.

Nice to have

• Hands-on exposure to electro-optical validation (PICs, silicon photonics, or CPO).
• Familiarity with TDECQ, OMA, ER, Rx sensitivity, or DCA-based optical measurements.
