What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex fullstack solutions within a cloud-native microservice architecture.
• Facilitate technical design discussions, author Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), and present recommendations to stakeholders.
• Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
• Establish and reinforce engineering best practices, including testing standards, accessibility requirements, and security compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement across CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and team workflows.
• Act as a technical lead for project workstreams, coordinating engineering efforts to ensure successful delivery.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Must meet federal suitability requirements and pass a background investigation.
• Expert-level proficiency in backend technologies such as Python or Java.
• Strong frontend development experience with Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Hands-on experience with containerized microservices and AWS cloud services.
• Working knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.

Nice to have

• Prior experience supporting federal civilian agencies or government digital services.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures utilizing AWS SNS, SQS, and Lambda.
• Exposure to SAFe or scaled Agile delivery frameworks.
