Sr. Software Engineer II, Linux Sensor - CTIO (Cybersecurity)

Sr. Software Engineer II (Linux Sensor): Developing and optimizing a lightweight security sensor for Linux platforms with an accent on core OS subsystems including file systems, memory, and networking. Location: Hybrid (Redmond, WA; Sunnyvale, CA; or Austin, TX). Must be based in the USA and attend the office at least 2 days per week.

Salary: $160,000 - $250,000 per year

What you will do

• Collaborate with sensor development teams on architecture and strategic initiatives across the company.
• Conceptualize and develop new product features for Linux OS platforms.
• Provide guidance and support for cross-platform software delivery (Windows, macOS, Linux).
• Own features throughout the entire lifecycle from initial design to final delivery and demonstration.
• Engage in cross-functional collaboration with geographically distributed teams.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of C/C++.
• Extensive, fundamental understanding of Linux OS internals.
• Proven experience debugging memory corruption issues, process contentions, and system performance bottlenecks.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and operate effectively within a distributed team.
• Must be based in the US and able to work hybrid (2+ days in office).

Nice to have

• Background in developing scalable, lightweight, and highly performing systems.
• In-depth expertise in core OS concepts and subsystems.
• Knowledge of security principles and experience with eBPF.
• Familiarity and experience with Agile methodologies.
