Student Worker (Backend/Cybersecurity): Developing the data and query layer for the NG-SIEM Engine based on Logscale with an accent on distributed streaming databases and scalable software architecture. Focus on optimizing data pipelines from Kafka to bucket storage and coordinating queries across distributed clusters.

What you will do

• Contribute to the NG-SIEM Engine team to ensure the durability and high availability of LogScale.
• Develop the data pipeline from receiving events in Kafka to storing them in segment format.
• Coordinate queries across highly distributed cluster setups to enable fast threat hunting.
• Take ownership of projects within the engine codebase written in Scala.
• Work approximately 15-20 hours per week.

Requirements

• Must be located in Aarhus, Denmark.
• Currently pursuing an MSc degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Graduation date must be in 2027.
• Strong passion for distributed systems.
