TL;DR

Logic Design Engineer (Automotive): Architecting and implementing complex Ethernet/networking IP for next-generation SoCs with an accent on hardware/silicon algorithm development and IEEE Time Sensitive Networking (TSN). Focus on micro-architecture, RTL design, and ensuring high-quality front-end to back-end handoff for safety-critical automotive and industrial applications.

Location: Must be based in Kanata/Ottawa, Canada

What you will do

  • Architect, design, and implement breakthrough Ethernet/networking IP for next-generation SoCs.
  • Perform micro-architecture development, Verilog RTL implementation, logic synthesis, and timing closure.
  • Conduct trade-off analysis regarding performance, area, and complexity.
  • Execute IP quality checks including Lint, CDC, Synthesis, STA, and LEC.
  • Collaborate with design verification engineers to ensure timely, high-quality IP delivery.
  • Document functional and implementation specifications for all project phases.

Requirements

  • Must be based in or able to work from Kanata/Ottawa, Canada.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in digital design.
  • Proficiency in Verilog RTL design, logic synthesis, and timing closure.
  • Understanding of IP development methodology and front-end design tools.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with state-of-the-art networking technologies and TCP/IP protocols.
  • Background in data products such as routers, bridges, and switches.
  • Knowledge of security/cryptography implementation.
  • Experience in algorithm development for hardware.
