What you will do

• Develop and support a global service mesh solution based on the Envoy proxy.
• Collaborate within a squad of engineers using pair programming and code reviews to maintain high quality.
• Guide 800+ teams and 2000+ microservices toward the "Golden State" by promoting the microservices golden path.
• Provide technical support to users, helping them troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the service mesh.
• Contribute to the engineering ecosystem through internal talks, knowledge sharing, and updated documentation.
• Identify infrastructure gaps and automation opportunities to enhance platform usability.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Proficiency in Go or similar systems languages (Rust, Java, or C-family).
• Hands-on experience with GCP, AKS, or Kubernetes.
• Experience with Envoy proxy.
• Cloud-minded engineering approach and a DevOps mindset.
• Must be based in Bucharest, Romania for hybrid work.

Nice to have

• Contributions to Open Source (OSS) Envoy.
• Experience with Nginx.
