What you will do

• Architect and optimize database systems for real-time gaming, puzzle systems, and social graph traversal.
• Develop internal tooling and automation to streamline database deployments, migrations, and operational workflows.
• Engineer multi-regional database architectures to handle massive traffic with minimal latency.
• Design data pipelines and ETL processes for analytics and cross-system synchronization.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code practices for database lifecycle management.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 platform availability and system reliability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience with large-scale, high-availability database systems.
• Expert-level proficiency with MySQL internals, replication topologies, and performance tuning.
• Strong software engineering skills in Python or Go for automation and tooling.
• Deep understanding of Linux systems, kernel behavior, and hardware optimization for databases.
• Experience with distributed systems concepts, CAP theorem, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Proficiency with monitoring and observability platforms such as Datadog or Prometheus.

• Gaming industry experience with low-latency data access patterns.
• Experience with database proxies like ProxySQL or Vitess.
