Lead Fullstack Developer (Fintech): Building and maintaining the NYFIX Matching post-trade processing platform with an accent on real-time performance and FIX protocol integration. Location: Must be based in the Vancouver area, with a hybrid work schedule requiring 1-2 days in the office per week.

Salary: CAD $120,000 – $150,000

What you will do

• Design, develop, and test new product features for the NYFIX Matching platform.
• Own the full development lifecycle including unit and integration testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues as part of level 3 support.
• Develop internal tools for deployment, onboarding, and support teams.
• Research and implement new technologies to scale the system under growing demand.
• Mentor junior team members and participate in roadmap and sprint planning.

Requirements

• 10+ years of Java programming experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java technologies including JEE, ActiveMQ, Spring, and Hibernate.
• Extensive experience with SQL and databases like PostgreSQL or Oracle.
• Working knowledge of Linux systems and frontend technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS).
• Fluency in English with excellent communication skills.
• Must be based in the Vancouver area and able to work in a hybrid office environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in the financial services industry and FIX protocol.
• Experience building web-based SaaS interfaces using React.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and document-oriented databases.
• Experience handling large volumes of data for analytics.
