What you will do

• Orchestrate multi-agent workflows with human-in-the-loop oversight for complex tax document processing.
• Develop production-grade pipelines for document extraction, classification, and validation at scale.
• Manage state hydration, failure handling, and recovery for long-running distributed agentic services.
• Implement observability and evaluation frameworks to track task completion, accuracy, and cost per action.
• Optimize cost, accuracy, and latency trade-offs for document processing during peak tax season volumes.
• Build supervision and validation layers to ensure non-deterministic agent outputs are trustworthy for professional use.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building and shipping backend systems in production environments.
• Proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade features from design through deployment and operations.
• Deep experience with relational databases including PostgreSQL, schema design, and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures, message queues, and distributed job execution.
• Production experience with AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, S3, and ECS.
• Proficiency in both TypeScript and Python, or the ability to quickly master both.

Nice to have

• Experience with agentic systems, orchestration frameworks, or multi-agent workflow design.
• Familiarity with RAG architectures, vector databases, and document processing pipelines.
• Background in multi-tenant SaaS architecture and document intelligence (OCR, structured extraction).
• Public evidence of engineering depth such as open-source contributions or technical writing.
