What you will do

• Identify and resolve performance and latency bottlenecks using load testing and chaos engineering.
• Rehome applications onto scalable infrastructure to enable multi-tenant deployments.
• Build developer tools and modules to increase engineering velocity across the organization.
• Collaborate with platform and application teams to adopt service templates and self-serve infrastructure.
• Establish SLOs and error budgets to improve application health and automated release processes.
• Improve observability, incident response, and cloud-native design strategies.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience focused on distributed systems or tooling.
• Strong background as a backend engineer with a focus on system performance and scalability.
• Experience building and scaling compute services on Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in backend languages such as Python, Go, Node, or Rust.
• Experience monitoring distributed systems with tools like Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Grafana.
• Must be willing to travel up to 10% for team retreats.
