Salary: $180,000–$195,000 plus a 10% bonus

What you will do

• Collaborate with engineering teams on threat models, design reviews, and addressing application security and privacy concerns.
• Develop software security patterns, secure coding standards, and templates for Infrastructure as Code.
• Lead the automation and integration of SAST, DAST, and SCA tools within CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform security-focused code reviews and triage vulnerability/compliance testing results.
• Implement technical compliance strategies and hardening for cloud infrastructure and system components.
• Mentor engineers on secure design patterns and participate in the Security Champions program.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.
• Must be based in Austin, TX.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience focusing on building and securing production systems.
• Proficiency in cloud infrastructure security and container-based deployments.
• Expertise in secrets management (e.g., HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager) and software supply chain security.
• Deep understanding of IAM, applied cryptography, network security, and API security (OAuth 2.0, OIDC).

Nice to have

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security paradigms.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST SP 800-53, or other government compliance frameworks.
• Background in government or defense technology environments.
