What you will do

• Build, adapt, and evaluate ML models specifically for life sciences applications.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of ML scientists, biologists, software engineers, and product managers.
• Apply state-of-the-art neural deep learning methods to complex biological datasets.
• Contribute to both academic and applied research initiatives within the Special Projects team.

Requirements

• Must be based in Boston, MA or Seattle, WA
• 3+ years of experience building machine learning models for business applications.
• PhD or Master's degree with 6+ years of applied research experience.
• Proficiency in programming with Java, C++, or Python.
• Strong background in neural deep learning and machine learning fundamentals.

Nice to have

• Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, or scipy.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems like Hadoop or Spark.
