What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest and validate Medicaid program data from CMS systems.
• Build ingestion workflows for mixed-modality content (APIs, spreadsheets, documents) with full lineage and audit traceability.
• Implement the data layer for Master Detailed Budget Table (MDBT) modernization and normalize legacy data formats.
• Develop API services for bidirectional data integration between Salesforce (MESH) and external systems.
• Operate big-data processing workflows using AWS (S3, Glue, EMR, Redshift), Databricks, Spark, and Hive.
• Support AI/ML pipelines by providing curated, governed training and inference data for predictive analytics.

Requirements

• Must pass U.S. Federal Government public trust clearance (requires U.S. citizenship or living in the US for 3 of the previous 5 years).
• 10+ years of software development experience, including 4+ years of data pipeline experience using Python, Java, and cloud technologies.
• Proficiency in AWS data services (S3, Redshift, RDS, EMR, Glue, Athena, QuickSight).
• Experience with Spark and Hive for big-data processing and Databricks workflows.
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, specifically Postgres and Cassandra.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

Nice to have

• Experience with Federal Government contracting (CMS, MACBIS, or HHS programs).
• Knowledge of Medicaid, MMIS, T-MSIS, or APD/MDBT data sets.
• Experience integrating data with Salesforce via REST/SOAP APIs.
• AWS Data Analytics or AWS Solutions Architect certification.
