Lead GCP Cloud Engineer

TL;DR

Lead GCP Cloud Engineer: Designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure solutions within Google Cloud Platform with an accent on infrastructure automation, security compliance, and CI/CD pipeline development. Focus on driving cloud optimization in a high-security government environment and ensuring system reliability under federal standards.

Location: Must be based in Washington, DC (In-Person, 5 days/week)

What you will do

• Design and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on GCP.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or similar tools.
• Support and automate CI/CD pipelines for development workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with FedRAMP and NIST standards.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot cloud service issues.
• Provide technical documentation and knowledge sharing for the engineering team.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required for federal contract and security clearance eligibility.
• Must be willing to obtain and maintain a Top Secret-level security clearance.
• 4+ years of cloud engineering experience, including 2+ years specifically on GCP.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services like Compute Engine, GKE, IAM, and BigQuery.
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of Linux, networking, and containerization.

Nice to have

• GCP Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
• Experience with federal government ATO processes.
• Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure.
