TL;DR

Staff iOS Engineer (Fintech): Leading the development of scalable mobile architecture and customer-facing features for retirement and account management products with an accent on performance, reliability, and complex system design. Focus on guiding technical strategy, mentoring engineering teams, and delivering high-quality, secure financial experiences for millions of users.

Location: Must be based in New York, NY with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. This position is restricted to US citizens or lawful permanent residents.

Salary: $180,000–$270,000 USD (depending on location zone).

What you will do

  • Design and implement scalable iOS application architecture for retirement and account management products.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including product, design, backend, and infrastructure to deliver intuitive financial experiences.
  • Improve application performance, observability, testing practices, and release stability.
  • Lead technical planning, system design reviews, and incident resolution efforts.
  • Mentor iOS engineers through code reviews, technical feedback, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience building and maintaining large-scale iOS applications using Swift.
  • Proven track record of designing mobile systems with clear architecture patterns and maintainable testing strategies.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple teams.
  • Must be a US citizen or lawful permanent resident.
  • Ability to work in the New York, NY office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

  • Experience working on financial systems, payments, or account-related platforms.
  • Greenfield engineering expertise scaling systems from 0 to 1.
