What you will do

• Maintain day-to-day surveillance over field engineering activities across phases of major military construction projects.
• Provide safety and quality assurance guidance and ensure adherence to safety regulations during construction activities.
• Review contractor schedules for logic, adequacy, and practicability to ensure milestones are met.
• Review contractor payment estimate submittals, progress measurement data, and reports of materials and equipment used.
• Prepare daily activity reports covering contractor instructions, pay item quantities, weather, progress, delays, and unusual issues.
• Monitor work layout and inspections for work in progress; analyze problems and interpret plans/specifications requirements.

Requirements

• 3–10 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree (or approved substitutions for education).
• At least 3 years of construction oversight experience, including surveillance/monitoring/controlling construction to ensure compliance with contract documents and proper materials/techniques.
• Experience reviewing construction technical data for progress reports and preparing data for processing pay estimates.
• Ability to travel between job sites if requested.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Ability to pass a government background investigation; only U.S. citizens are eligible for suitability determination.
