What you will do

• Lead containerization of the core monolith application to modernize deployment and scaling workflows.
• Own high-priority backend integration projects aligning Bitstamp systems with hirify.global’s global infrastructure.
• Improve backend performance and reduce operational toil via intelligent automation (with and without AI).
• Deliver complex projects end-to-end from design through deployment with independent decision-making.
• Collaborate across teams to interpret technical requirements and influence processes that increase engineering velocity.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 reliability and resolve difficult production issues.

Requirements

• 4–5+ years of backend engineering experience, including strong containerization experience (Docker, Kubernetes) and legacy modernization.
• Advanced backend knowledge with practical AWS experience (ECS, EC2, Aurora, DynamoDB).
• Proven ability to manage entire projects or processes and coordinate across multiple areas to solve complex problems.
• Operational pragmatism: ability to “pave the road” toward automation while handling necessary day-to-day operational responsibilities.
• Strong communication skills to guide and coach others and align stakeholders on technical decisions.
• Practical project management skills to manage complex technical and administrative logistics in a fast-moving environment.
