What you will do

• Modernize legacy services using AI to analyze codebases, extract clean APIs, and implement strangler fig patterns.
• Build AI-powered development infrastructure including MCP servers and automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop reusable AI tooling and agentic solutions to accelerate development cycles.
• Demonstrate AI-first development by refactoring, testing, and documenting code with LLM assistance.
• Train engineering teams on AI-enabled workflows and best practices during service handoffs.
• Deliver measurable improvements in API performance, system reliability, and developer productivity.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with deep Java backend expertise.
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, API design, and legacy migration strategies.
• Hands-on experience building with Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Proven track record using AI development tools like Claude Code or GitHub Copilot in production.
• Experience implementing AI in CI/CD pipelines for code review, testing, and security.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model with 3 days per week in the London office.

Nice to have

• Experience building agentic AI solutions or custom AI-powered automation tools.
• Background in financial services or high-load trading platforms.
• Experience with automated code analysis and remediation at scale.
