What you will do
- Design, implement, and operate shared Resource Plane services across the organization.
- Manage and evolve production-grade Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, and Elasticsearch platforms.
- Apply SRE principles to ensure availability, scalability, and reliability of stateful systems.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code and GitOps-based automation for lifecycle management.
- Define guardrails and golden paths for platform consumers and integrate services into the Internal Developer Platform.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and reliability improvements.
Requirements
- Must be based in Portugal.
- Senior-level experience operating production-grade, stateful distributed systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
- Proven experience running infrastructure primarily in on-prem environments.
- Deep experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, specifically Terraform.
- Solid grasp of reliability engineering concepts such as SLOs, error budgets, and capacity planning.
Nice to have
- Experience designing shared platform services for multiple product teams.
- Familiarity with Internal Developer Platform (IDP) concepts.
- Experience migrating on-prem workloads to cloud-native or hybrid models.
- Exposure to security, compliance, and governance for shared infrastructure.
- Prior experience in staff- or principal-level technical leadership roles.
