What you will do
- Complete a structured two-year development journey across major fab process areas including Lithography, Etch, and Deposition.
- Contribute to Statistical Process Control (SPC) reviews, recipe management, and yield excursion analysis.
- Lead technical initiatives for yield improvement, cost reduction, and cycle-time optimization.
- Plan, execute, and analyze engineering trials across diffusion and assembly processes.
- Resolve high-profile fabrication incidents using structured methodologies like 8D and Kepner-Tregoe.
- Build cross-functional relationships with equipment, design, and operations teams.
Requirements
- Postgraduate degree (MSc, MEng, or PhD) in Semiconductor, Electrical, Materials, Chemical Engineering, or Physics.
- Understanding of semiconductor device principles and fabrication process variables.
- Strong data analysis capability and ability to communicate complex technical findings.
- Must be able to work onsite in Manchester, including potential future shift patterns (days/nights).
- Hands-on experience in a university or industrial cleanroom environment is highly preferred.
