Salary: $78,000–$107,250 base salary with 15% incentive (national average range for Senior Actuarial Analyst)

What you will do

  • Conduct research and analysis to evaluate lines of business/programs, establishing rates and pricing strategies aligned with profitable premium growth and cost-based pricing.
  • Investigate new business opportunities and potential acquisitions, providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Forecast reserve estimates on a quarterly basis and monitor rate changes.
  • Communicate findings and present actuarial analyses to cross-functional and executive audiences, including defending assumptions and alternative structures when needed.
  • Proactively identify and communicate potential actuarial issues; represent the department on cross-functional teams.
  • Mentor and serve as a resource for junior actuaries.

Requirements

  • US Work Authorization required; hirify.global does not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in mathematics, statistics, or other analytical fields.
  • 3–6 years of actuarial experience at a commercial insurer preferred.
  • Commitment to pursuing Associate or Fellowship designation in the Casualty Actuarial Society (newly qualified candidates preferred; high-potential students considered).
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills, including the ability to defend actuarial assumptions, decisions, and methodologies.
  • Project and time management skills to meet deadlines and manage resources.
