Staff Accountant

What you will do

• Support the monthly close process and ensure all activities are completed accurately and on time.
• Prepare and upload financial data into the consolidation system.
• Analyze large datasets and prepare accruals for balance sheet accounts.
• Perform inter-company reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Analyze balance sheet and P&L variances to provide explanations for actual versus forecasted figures.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors to prepare financial reporting schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 2-5 years of professional accounting experience.
• Fluent in English required.
• Working knowledge of general accounting functions and US GAAP principles.
• Proficiency in Excel including pivot tables and vlookup functions.
• Must be flexible to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays as necessary.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Public accounting experience.
• Experience in a global organization or the software industry.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP and Cognos.
• Chartered accountant (IMCP or US CPA) certification.
