Associate Producer

What you will do

• Work live newscasts and special events.
• Assist producers in building and formatting daily newscasts and producing news briefs.
• Write lower-third graphics and call supers for live broadcasts.
• Research stories, fact-check information, and verify sources.
• Request and coordinate news graphics through editorial and creative processes.
• Collaborate with assignment editors, reporters, production crews, and the news digital team on story planning and coordination.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Associate Producer in TV production and/or cable TV.
• Fully fluent English and Spanish (written and verbal).
• Prior experience directing and guiding talent in video productions.
• Proficiency with I-News and live news production systems; proficiency with VIZ.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States and be 18+ with a valid driver’s license.
