Student Associate (Embedded/IoT)

Student Associate (Embedded/IoT): Supporting the development of immersive entertainment technologies with an accent on electronic assembly testing, circuit design, and documentation. Focus on gaining professional engineering experience through hands-on hardware tasks under the supervision of project leads.

Location: Must be based in Bozeman, Montana (On-site)

What you will do

• Perform troubleshooting and testing of electronic assemblies using basic instruments.
• Assist with basic circuit design and schematic review.
• Manage and identify components from Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Maintain project documentation under direct supervision.
• Validate electronic systems by performing basic test procedures.
• Collaborate with project leads to support research and analysis tasks.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled as an undergraduate student for Fall 2026.
• Must be available to work 21-35 hours/week in-person in Bozeman, MT.
• Must be available from October 2026 to April 2027.
• Current GPA of 3.7 or above.
• Completed 1-2 years of major coursework in electrical engineering or computer science.
• Ability to adhere to professional appearance and presentation guidelines on-site.

Nice to have

• Experience with Solidworks or other mechanical design software.
