Location: Hybrid (Cambridge, MA) — minimum of 2-3 days physically in the office

What you will do

  • Support ClinGen curation activities and research the significance of genes and variants through literature and data review.
  • Classify variant- and gene-disease associations to build authoritative genomic resources.
  • Assist in the development of software tools used for supporting variant and gene curation.
  • Help laboratories with data submission to ClinVar and resolve interpretation differences.
  • Contribute to the writing of ClinGen research publications.
  • Support expert panels, specifically focusing on Congenital Heart Disease.

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree in the sciences.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Clinical Genomics Assistant or in a related role.
  • Must be based in or able to work in Cambridge, MA (Hybrid: 2-3 days in office).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Ability to interact effectively with an international network of laboratories and disease experts.
