What you will do

• Design and scale highly available, low-latency infrastructure to process millions of metrics and traces per second.
• Collaborate with cross-functional squads to improve platform maturity, security, and regional deployment timelines.
• Own the full lifecycle of platform services, including design, implementation, testing, and production operations.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure system health and gain deep insights into product usage.
• Drive technical leadership and influence cross-functional stakeholders to align on platform priorities.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate prototyping, documentation, and incident resolution.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada with availability in EST/CST time zones.
• Proven track record of delivering and operating large-scale distributed systems.
• Deep expertise in cloud-native architectures, including microservices, Kubernetes, and IaC.
• Strong proficiency in Go, with the ability to translate experience from Python, Rust, or C++.
• Experience defining SLOs/SLIs and driving reliability and performance improvements.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence without authority in a remote-first setting.

Nice to have

• Experience with open source or community-based projects.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes scheduling tools like Karpenter.
• Experience with Terraform, Crossplane, Tanka, or Jsonnet.
