Salary: £60,000–£69,000 (including shift allowance)

What you will do
- Lead effective equipment maintenance programmes to ensure safe and stable operation of specialist tools.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and repair complex equipment issues across high-volume wafer processing tools.
- Monitor and optimize equipment daily to enhance performance and prevent downtime.
- Train and mentor less experienced engineers to support skills development across the team.
- Develop and maintain documentation and procedures for equipment checks and maintenance.
- Conduct and direct equipment experiments, improvement actions, and capability projects.
Requirements
- Must be able to work a rotating days shift pattern (7am-7pm).
- Degree, HNC, HND, or relevant qualification in a scientific or engineering discipline.
- Senior-level experience in maintaining equipment within a light engineering or robotics background.
- Solid understanding of electronic and mechanical principles.
- Proven fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of tool FMEA/RCA and standard quality tools (e.g., 4c/8d).
Nice to have
- Previous exposure to specialised semiconductor equipment.
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience with a proven track record of improvements.
