Platform Engineer (Kubernetes): Designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available containerized platforms with an accent on Kubernetes and OpenShift orchestration. Location: Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold an active TS/SCI with CI poly security clearance. Role requires 90% onsite work in a SCIF environment in Herndon, VA; Westminster, CO; or St. Louis, MO.

Salary: $145,000 - $215,000

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support containerized application delivery.
• Implement infrastructure as code and develop self-service platform capabilities.
• Monitor platform performance, availability, and security while responding to incidents.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to improve platform usability.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security and governance standards.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI with CI poly security clearance.
• Minimum 14 years of professional experience in a technical support role.
• Demonstrated experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
• Demonstrated experience with Red Hat OpenShift.
• Proficiency in container technologies such as Docker or CRI-O.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

Nice to have

• Strong scripting or programming skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, or CKS).
• CompTIA Security+ or comparable certification.
• Experience with geospatial technology and IC PED systems.
