What you will do

• Perform project-level sales and margin variance analysis and prepare related journal entries for contracts.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts; manage the fixed asset register and monitor capital expenditures.
• Compute product costs and establish department rates; update and enhance forecasting models.
• Support internal and external audits and manage Innovate UK claims.
• Act as a business partner across departments and provide coverage for team members during absence.
• Drive continuous process improvements and support transformational initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounting/finance.
• Understanding of audit and compliance processes.
• Strong communication skills for working with non-financial stakeholders.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines.

Nice to have

• Relevant professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA).
• Experience with ERP/SAP systems.
