What you will do
- Develop automated test systems for electro-optical modules from initial concept to production release.
- Design and document test hardware and software requirements in close collaboration with the R&D department.
- Write software test steps and sequences to ensure systems meet all design specifications.
- Coordinate the transfer of test systems to the factory and support production engineering.
- Provide second-line technical support and conduct user training for test solutions.
- Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) to optimize test solutions throughout their lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in test engineering, specifically for telecommunication or datacom products.
- Proven experience participating in at least two full product design life cycles across multiple system areas.
- Proficiency in Python scripting, and coding in VC++ or C#.
- Ability to read and interpret hardware circuit schematics, CAD files, and IC data sheets.
- Must be authorized to work in Canada.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of optical transmission and optical components.
- Familiarity with optical test instruments (DCA, OSA, Framed Ethernet, and PRBS traffic testers).
- Experience with SQL databases.
- Knowledge of National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand environments.
- Experience with PCBA level test methodology and optical performance/compliance testing.
