Focus on building scalable Java architectures and troubleshooting performance bottlenecks to ensure high stability and compliance.

Location: Barcelona / Madrid / Buenos Aires / Sao Paulo (Hybrid) / Montevideo (Hybrid)

What you will do

  • Collaborate with technology leaders and product to translate department goals into technical solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Java applications and systems aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead Java-based technical architecture to ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Optimize application performance (code, database queries, and resource utilization) and resolve system bottlenecks.
  • Build and scale payment routing and real-time fraud decisioning systems using data and machine learning models.
  • Run performance validation and monitoring, produce detailed performance reports, and conduct code reviews.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional experience in Java development.
  • Strong Java application development and software architecture experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of object-oriented design principles and design patterns.
  • Experience with Spring and Hibernate; event-driven architecture design experience.
  • Experience monitoring production applications with telemetry tools (e.g., New Relic, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, CloudWatch, ELK) and distributed logs.
  • Upper-intermediate written and spoken English proficiency.

Nice to have

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
