What you will do
- Perform precision assembly on complex production and repair actuators.
- Adjust and align assemblies using shimming and other mechanical adjustment methods specified by blueprints or specifications.
- Use precision measuring equipment (dial indicators, calipers, micrometers) to meet assembly-build requirements and maintain dimensional accuracy with torque wrenches, fixtures, tooling, and gages.
- Run test operations on production or repair mechanical/hydraulic actuators using required hydraulic, mechanical, and electronic test equipment.
- Diagnose common test failures, recommend or perform rework, and hold problem units for engineering disposition.
- Test repair models for conformance to acceptance test procedures and order parts using RUR and WDS systems with proper documentation.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of assembly experience (mechanical, hydraulic, electromechanical, or electronic).
- Ability to read blueprints and follow written and oral work instructions in English.
- Experience with precision assembly and test of hydraulic, mechanical, and electromechanical flight actuators.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment (dial indicators, calipers, micrometers).
- Ability to diagnose/troubleshoot mechanical components and test failures.
- Security Clearance: possess or be able to obtain Security Clearance.
Nice to have
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification.
- Assembly experience in the Aerospace industry.
- Basic computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook).
